Sara underwrites property damage and business interruption for energy (oil and gas and power, including renewables) and mining business from the Liberty Singapore office. 

Personal profile

Sara has been in the insurance industry for 15 years and she joined Liberty in 2015. She is the National Manager for the Energy and Power Generation portfolios across Australia and New Zealand. In addition to conventional oil & gas and power generation risks, Sara has expertise in renewable energy including solar PV, onshore wind and battery energy storage systems. She also helps clients manage risks associated with their energy transition.

Sara began her insurance career in 2009 at a Lloyd’s of London syndicate. After completing the Underwriting Graduate Scheme, she progressed to an underwriting role within the energy team.  

Sara holds a BSc in Business Management from The University of Surrey (UK), an Advanced Diploma in Insurance and a Certificate in Contract Wording. She is a Chartered Insurer with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII - UK).

Sara is the Co-Chair of the Australian insurance Renewable Energy Discussion Group.
